The ongoing repatriation of Pakistani nationals stranded in Iran has seen another significant development, as 115 more individuals successfully crossed back into Pakistan through the Gabd-Rimdan border post. This latest group, arriving late at night, marks the continuation of a carefully coordinated effort to bring home citizens caught in difficult circumstances abroad.

Among those who returned were 69 students pursuing their education in Iran and 46 pilgrims who had been undertaking religious journeys. The Gabd-Rimdan crossing, situated in the Gwadar district along the Pakistan-Iran border in Balochistan, has become the focal point for this humanitarian operation. It serves as a vital gateway for the safe and orderly return of Pakistanis amid ongoing regional challenges.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) personnel were on hand to receive the returnees, ensuring that all immigration formalities and health checks were conducted smoothly. Their presence helped facilitate a seamless transition for the repatriates after what has been a stressful period away from home. The authorities have emphasized the importance of maintaining strict protocols to safeguard the well-being of those returning.

Over the past three days, a total of 279 Pakistanis have been repatriated through this border point. This number includes not only students and pilgrims but also some foreign nationals who were stranded alongside them. The operation reflects the government’s commitment to protecting its citizens abroad, especially in light of the heightened tensions and uncertainties in the region.

Officials have reiterated that arrangements remain in place to assist more Pakistanis who wish to return from Iran in the coming days. The repatriation process is being closely monitored and supported by various agencies to ensure that no one is left behind. This ongoing effort highlights the importance of cross-border cooperation and the prioritization of citizen safety during times of geopolitical strain.
