Pakistani Cyber Force Hacks Indian ABP News Channel in Bold Retaliation

In a striking demonstration of cyber capabilities, Pakistan’s cyber force successfully infiltrated the broadcast systems of India’s prominent news outlet, ABP News. This breach resulted in the airing of patriotic slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan), alongside military-related content, marking a notable escalation in the ongoing digital confrontations between the two neighboring countries.

The cyber attack included the transmission of segments featuring a speech by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Commander of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir. This unprecedented move not only showcased Pakistan’s growing proficiency in cyber warfare but also served as a direct message highlighting the nation’s resolve and technological advancements in this domain.

Such incidents underscore the increasing role of cyberspace as a new battleground where geopolitical rivalries play out beyond traditional military fronts. The targeting of a major Indian news channel reflects the strategic importance both countries place on information control and psychological operations, especially in times of heightened tensions.

It is worth noting that cyber attacks between Pakistan and India have become more frequent in recent years, with each side attempting to assert dominance and retaliate against perceived provocations. This latest episode adds another layer to the complex and often volatile relationship, emphasizing the need for robust cybersecurity measures and diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation.

Meanwhile, experts suggest that such cyber intrusions, while disruptive, also reveal vulnerabilities in critical media infrastructure, prompting calls for enhanced safeguards. As digital warfare continues to evolve, both nations are expected to invest heavily in their cyber defense and offense capabilities, making cyberspace a critical front in their ongoing rivalry.
