Defense Minister Khawaja Asif voiced strong condemnation over the recent attacks targeting Iran, describing the incidents as profoundly distressing for Pakistan and its people. Speaking on Sunday, he emphasized that these violent events have caused widespread sorrow among Pakistanis, reflecting the close ties and longstanding friendship between the two neighboring countries.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Khawaja Asif highlighted Pakistan’s unwavering support for Iran, noting that Islamabad has extended every possible form of diplomatic and moral assistance during this challenging period. He underscored that Pakistan’s stance has been consistent and clear, including formal condemnation of the attacks at the United Nations, where Pakistan stood firmly alongside Iran in denouncing the violence.

Turning his attention to the domestic front, the Defense Minister appealed to religious groups and the general public within Pakistan to exercise patience and restraint. He warned that any escalation into violent protests or acts of vigilantism would only serve to undermine national stability and play into the hands of adversaries seeking to destabilize the country. Khawaja Asif stressed that it is a collective responsibility of all citizens to manage their emotions carefully during these sensitive times.

Furthermore, Khawaja Asif called for all demonstrations to remain peaceful, urging protesters to avoid any form of unrest or disorder. He cautioned that maintaining calm and order is crucial not only for Pakistan’s internal security but also for preserving the strong bilateral relations with Iran. His message was clear: peaceful expression of solidarity is acceptable, but violence must be strictly avoided to prevent further complications.

This statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following the attacks on Iran, which have reverberated across neighboring countries, including Pakistan. The Defense Minister’s remarks reflect Islamabad’s diplomatic approach aimed at balancing support for Iran while ensuring domestic peace and security. As the situation continues to evolve, Pakistan’s leadership appears focused on promoting dialogue and discouraging any actions that could exacerbate instability within its borders.
