The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted light rainfall in Karachi today, signaling a brief respite from the prevailing hot and humid weather conditions. Despite the possibility of rain, temperatures in the city are expected to stay high, with maximum readings ranging from 35°C to 37°C over the next 24 hours.

Currently, Karachi is experiencing a minimum temperature of 28°C, accompanied by a humidity level of 81 percent. Winds are blowing steadily from the southwest at approximately 11 kilometers per hour, contributing to the muggy atmosphere. The PMD highlighted that scattered light showers could occur across various parts of the city throughout the day.

This weather pattern is influenced by a monsoon system situated over South Chhattisgarh and surrounding regions, which is gradually moving westward. The meteorological department anticipates that this system will bring rain and thunderstorms to several districts in Sindh province until September 16. Areas in southeastern Sindh are expected to be particularly affected, although the rainfall is likely to be intermittent with occasional breaks.

In response to the forecast, the Sindh Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has urged all relevant agencies to implement precautionary measures and maintain heightened vigilance during this period. The advisory aims to mitigate any potential risks associated with the changing weather conditions, ensuring public safety and preparedness across the region.
