NDMA Forecasts Rain for KP, Islamabad, and Punjab Starting June 11

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released a detailed weather forecast covering the period from June 7 to June 12, highlighting a variety of climatic conditions expected across Pakistan. This outlook indicates a continuation of hot and dry weather in several regions, while signaling the arrival of rainfall and strong winds in others as the week progresses.

Specifically, the NDMA anticipates that Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan will experience persistent hot and dry conditions throughout the forecast period. Cities such as Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana are expected to remain under the influence of this intense heat, which may pose challenges for residents and agricultural activities alike.

Meanwhile, from June 7 to 10, an increase in heat intensity is projected for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and northern Punjab. However, a significant shift in weather patterns is expected starting June 11, when rainfall is forecast to occur in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Punjab. This precipitation will be accompanied by strong winds affecting several areas, including major cities like Rawalpindi and Lahore, potentially impacting daily life and transportation.

In addition to these developments, the NDMA has highlighted that light rain and thunderstorms are likely in parts of Balochistan, particularly in Zhob and Musakhel, on June 11 and 12. Other northern regions such as Chitral, Swat, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Peshawar are also expected to receive rainfall during this timeframe. Furthermore, intermittent rain showers are predicted for Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir between June 7 and 12, contributing to a varied weather scenario across the country.
