Rawalpindi Board Announces New Dates for Postponed Matric Exams

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has announced a revised schedule for the matriculation annual examinations that were previously postponed. The delay in conducting these exams was attributed to disruptions linked to ongoing Iran–US diplomatic talks, which affected the original timetable.

In a significant development, the board has rescheduled the Urdu paper to be held on the morning of May 2, followed by the Geography paper in the afternoon session of the same day. This adjustment aims to ensure that students can complete their exams with minimal further disruption.

Notably, the examination centres and timings will remain consistent with the original plan. A spokesperson from BISE Rawalpindi confirmed that all exams will take place at the previously assigned locations and time slots, providing clarity and stability for the thousands of students preparing for these crucial assessments.

Education officials have urged candidates to adhere strictly to the updated timetable and continue their preparations accordingly. The rescheduling effort reflects the board’s commitment to maintaining the academic calendar while accommodating unforeseen external factors that impacted the examination process.
