Ufotable Unveils Four Major Anime Projects Including Demon Slayer Sequel

Ufotable, the acclaimed animation studio renowned for its work on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, has revealed plans for four significant new anime projects currently in development. This announcement marks an exciting expansion of the studio’s creative portfolio, extending well beyond the familiar realm of demon slayers and sword battles. Known for its meticulous craftsmanship and visually stunning animation, Ufotable continues to set high standards in the anime industry.

Before the worldwide sensation of Demon Slayer propelled the studio into unprecedented mainstream success, Ufotable had already earned a solid reputation for its dedication to quality. Unlike many studios that produce numerous series each season, Ufotable adopts a more measured approach, focusing on fewer projects but investing substantial time and effort into perfecting each one. This careful attention to detail has resulted in some of the most visually impressive and emotionally resonant anime productions in recent years.

At the forefront of Ufotable’s upcoming slate is the continuation of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle film saga. The first film concluded with a dramatic cliffhanger that left fans eagerly awaiting the next installment. The studio has confirmed that the storyline will be adapted into a trilogy of films, with two more parts planned before the series reaches its final arc. Although no official release dates have been announced yet, anticipation is running high given the franchise’s recent box office triumphs. Audiences can expect Ufotable’s signature blend of fluid action sequences, cinematic lighting, and heartfelt storytelling to once again dominate the big screen.

In addition to the Demon Slayer sequel, Ufotable is also adapting the immensely popular video game Genshin Impact into an anime series. This project was initially announced several years ago in collaboration with HoYoverse, the game’s developer, but recently received a fresh visual preview early in 2026, signaling renewed momentum. While the premiere date remains unconfirmed, the revival of promotional material suggests that production is progressing steadily. Given Genshin Impact’s vast global fanbase and richly detailed fantasy world, this adaptation holds great promise to become another standout success for the studio.

Another intriguing project on Ufotable’s roster is Witch on the Holy Night, a supernatural narrative set in the late 1980s. The story centers on a young girl entangled in a mysterious legacy linked to a secluded mansion, blending elements of suspense and fantasy. The film is expected to premiere in Japan first, with international screenings to follow, expanding Ufotable’s reach to audiences worldwide. This project highlights the studio’s versatility in exploring different genres beyond action-packed adventures.

Lastly, Ufotable is moving forward with the long-anticipated Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu anime. Although initially teased years ago, details about this production have been scarce until now. With active production underway, fans of the franchise are hopeful that more information will be shared soon. The series has a dedicated following, and its return is eagerly awaited, adding to the excitement surrounding Ufotable’s future offerings.

With these four diverse and ambitious projects, Ufotable is clearly positioning itself for another influential chapter in its history. From high-intensity demon battles and supernatural mysteries to adaptations of globally beloved games, the studio’s upcoming lineup promises to uphold its reputation for breathtaking animation and compelling storytelling. Anime enthusiasts worldwide will be watching closely as these projects develop, anticipating the next wave of visual masterpieces from one of the industry’s most respected studios.
