Murad Orders Development of Keti Bandar Port via Public-Private Partnership

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has issued directives to develop the Keti Bandar Port through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. This initiative aims to enhance the port’s operational capacity and attract private sector investment to modernize infrastructure. The move is expected to facilitate economic growth by improving trade connectivity in the region.

Keti Bandar Port, located along the Arabian Sea coast, holds strategic importance for Sindh’s maritime trade and fishing industries. Historically underutilized, the port’s development under the PPP framework could transform it into a significant commercial hub. This approach leverages private sector efficiency and funding while maintaining government oversight.

In a significant development for regional economic policy, the PPP model at Keti Bandar aligns with broader efforts to boost Sindh’s port infrastructure and trade potential. The project is anticipated to create job opportunities and enhance export-import activities, contributing to the province’s overall economic stability. Meanwhile, stakeholders are optimistic about the long-term benefits of this public-private collaboration.
