Armed robbers pointed a pistol at a young girl and seized a mobile phone and a ring from her mother in Karachi’s Gulberg 15 area. CCTV cameras captured the attack, which took place in the morning as the woman was walking her daughter to school, according to media reports.
Footage shows two men on a motorcycle overtaking the pair before pulling up to stop them. The robbers then aimed the weapon at the child and took the items from the woman. A microphone attached to the camera also picked up the child crying during the ordeal. The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Joharabad police station. Locals said many crimes happen in the area during morning hours, and police had not yet identified or arrested the suspects.
