Child Protection Bureau Punjab Chairperson MPA Sarah Ahmad has described the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China as a cornerstone of regional stability, development, and prosperity. She shared these insights while speaking at a youth exchange panel held at Capital Normal University during her visit to China. This visit was part of a delegation of Pakistani parliamentarians and political figures commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
During her address, Ahmad highlighted the critical role of enhancing people-to-people ties, educational partnerships, and youth involvement in further strengthening bilateral relations. She noted that under the visionary leadership of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan-China relationship has reached unprecedented levels of strength, depth, and effectiveness.
Ahmad reiterated that the enduring friendship between the two countries symbolizes not only regional stability but also ongoing progress and shared prosperity. She emphasized that future cooperation will be bolstered through academic institutions, research initiatives, innovation, and active collaboration among the younger generations of both countries.
Expressing gratitude to the International Department of the Communist Party of China for hosting the Pakistani delegation, Ahmad underscored the importance of joint research projects and technological partnerships between Pakistani and Chinese youth. She further praised Pakistani students studying in China for serving as goodwill ambassadors, fostering mutual understanding and friendship.
Highlighting the influential role of young people, Ahmad asserted that the youth hold the potential to combat extremism, promote peace, and contribute to building a brighter future for the region.
