The new petrol price has been fixed at Rs377.91 per litre, while diesel has risen to Rs399.82 per litre, according to a notification from OGRA.
The increase follows a rise in petrol prices after the US-Iran war. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered the Petrol Relief Scheme, which gives eligible motorcycle, Qingqi rickshaw and small-car owners a Rs100 per litre discount on petrol.
Monthly fuel limits under the relief scheme
Motorcycle and Qingqi rickshaw owners can claim the discount on up to 20 litres of petrol per month. Owners of vehicles with engines up to 800cc are eligible for discounted petrol of up to 30 litres monthly.
