The spokesperson for the Central Region revealed that passenger cars traveling on motorways will now be capped at a maximum speed of 100 kilometres per hour. Meanwhile, heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses will be required to adhere to a lower limit of 90 kilometres per hour to minimize risks associated with high-speed travel. On national highways, the speed restrictions are even more stringent, with cars limited to 80 kilometres per hour and heavy vehicles restricted to 65 kilometres per hour. Authorities have already begun taking action against drivers who violate these new speed limits, signaling zero tolerance for reckless behavior on the roads.
