Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Secretly Transported to Russia for Surgery Amid Health C…

Mojtaba Ali Khamenei, the recently appointed Supreme Leader of Iran, has remained out of the public eye amid growing rumors about his health following alleged injuries during coordinated US-Israeli military strikes on Iranian territory. The 59-year-old leader’s notable absence from the annual Al-Quds Day rally, an event typically marked by his presence alongside other top Iranian officials, has intensified speculation regarding his physical condition.

Reports have emerged suggesting that Khamenei was covertly transported to Moscow, Russia, for urgent medical treatment after sustaining serious wounds in the airstrikes. The Kuwaiti news outlet Al-Jarida disclosed that due to both health complications and heightened security risks within Iran, the decision was made to move him abroad for surgery. This move underscores the gravity of his condition and the sensitive nature of his treatment.

the same source, Khamenei underwent a successful surgical procedure and is currently recuperating in a hospital located within a secure presidential compound. The report cited a senior Iranian official who confirmed that the leader’s recovery is underway under tight security measures. This development highlights the lengths Iranian authorities are going to ensure his safety during this critical period.

Details have also surfaced regarding the circumstances of his transfer to Russia. It is reported that on March 12, 2026, Khamenei was flown to Moscow aboard a Russian military aircraft following a direct phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Sources close to Iran’s leadership indicated that the proposal for the transfer originated from Putin himself, reflecting the strategic cooperation between the two nations amid escalating regional tensions.

Iranian intelligence agencies reportedly gave their approval for the move after assessing the risk that hospitals within Iran could become targets for further Israeli strikes. This precautionary measure reveals the precarious security environment surrounding Iran’s top leadership and the ongoing threat posed by external military actions.

Earlier, the British newspaper The Guardian had published claims suggesting that Khamenei had fallen into a coma and was receiving secret treatment in a hospital, adding to the swirl of uncertainty about his health status. Despite these widespread reports, neither the Iranian government nor Russian authorities have issued any official statements confirming or denying the leader’s condition or his current location.

The situation remains fluid, with international observers closely monitoring developments as Iran navigates a complex geopolitical landscape marked by military confrontations and internal power dynamics. The absence of Mojtaba Khamenei from public events and the secrecy surrounding his medical treatment have raised questions about the future stability of Iran’s leadership amid ongoing external pressures.
