Pakistan Launches Precision Air Strikes on Kandahar Oil Facilities in Operation Ghazab Lil Haq

In a decisive military action, Pakistan’s armed forces carried out a series of precision air strikes targeting critical oil storage facilities located at the Kandahar airfield. These operations took place overnight between March 12 and the early hours of March 13, marking a notable escalation in the ongoing cross-border security challenges. The strikes were aimed at crippling the fuel supply lines that have reportedly supported militant activities in the region.

Visual evidence of the operation was released by official military channels, showcasing detailed footage of the mission. The videos capture the exact moments when the oil depots were struck, providing a stark contrast between the intact infrastructure before the attack and the extensive destruction afterward. This imagery underscores the effectiveness of the strikes in dismantling vital logistical assets at one of Afghanistan’s strategically important airfields.

Authorities have identified the targeted oil storage sites as key resources utilized by the Afghan Taliban and other designated terrorist groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). These fuel reserves have reportedly played a crucial role in sustaining militant operations across the border, enabling the movement of personnel and equipment. The military operation, named ‘Operation Ghazab Lil Haq’—which translates to ‘Wrath for the Truth’—reflects Pakistan’s intensified resolve to disrupt these networks and degrade their operational capabilities.

This campaign is part of a broader and sustained effort by Pakistan’s military to counter insurgency and terrorism emanating from across the Afghan border. Officials emphasize that these strikes are not isolated incidents but components of a comprehensive strategy aimed at eliminating terrorist hideouts and dismantling their military infrastructure. A spokesperson highlighted that the operation will persist until all objectives related to national security and border stability are fully achieved.

The timing of these strikes comes amid heightened diplomatic tensions between Islamabad and Kabul, primarily over the harboring of TTP militants within Afghan territory. Islamabad has long expressed concerns about sanctuaries that allow these groups to regroup and launch attacks into Pakistan. The adoption of the ‘Ghazab Lil Haq’ designation signals a shift towards a more assertive and kinetic approach in addressing these threats, moving beyond diplomatic protests to direct military intervention.

As the situation continues to evolve, Pakistan’s military remains vigilant, prepared to take further action to safeguard its borders and national security interests. This operation not only disrupts the immediate logistical capabilities of militant groups but also sends a clear message regarding Pakistan’s commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining regional stability.
