Pakistan Army Intensifies Operation Ghazab lil-Haq Targeting Afghan Taliban in South Waziristan

The Pakistan Army has intensified its ongoing campaign, Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, targeting militant strongholds of the Afghan Taliban and Fitanah-ul-Khawarij in the Shawal area of South Waziristan. This operation forms a critical part of the military’s broader strategy to eliminate insurgent threats along the volatile border region with Afghanistan.

Security officials revealed that the army recently launched a precise assault on an Afghan Taliban outpost within Shawal. The offensive involved the use of explosives to demolish the militant position, compelling the insurgents to abandon their post and retreat. This tactical strike underscores the military’s commitment to dismantling terrorist infrastructure that has long destabilized the tribal districts.

Operation Ghazab lil-Haq is not a standalone effort but rather a continuation of a series of coordinated military actions aimed at rooting out Taliban hideouts and disrupting their logistical and command centers. The Pakistan Army has been systematically targeting these locations to restore peace and security in the region, which has historically been a hotbed for cross-border militancy and insurgent activity.

South Waziristan, part of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), has witnessed numerous military campaigns over the past decade. The area’s rugged terrain and porous border with Afghanistan have made it a preferred sanctuary for various militant groups. The current offensive reflects the army’s resolve to prevent these groups from regrouping and launching attacks that threaten both national and regional stability.

Military officials emphasize that the operation is ongoing, with forces maintaining pressure on insurgent networks to deny them any safe havens. The Pakistan Army continues to coordinate intelligence and ground operations to ensure the long-term security of the border belt, which is crucial for the country’s counterterrorism objectives.

Further updates on the progress of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq are expected as the military advances its campaign against the Afghan Taliban and allied factions entrenched in South Waziristan. The operation highlights Pakistan’s sustained efforts to combat terrorism and safeguard its frontier regions from militant threats.
