In a significant development ahead of Eidul Azha, Islamabad Police have implemented comprehensive security arrangements across the capital city. Over 7,000 police officers have been deployed to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of Eid prayers, reflecting the authorities’ commitment to public security during this important religious occasion.

The largest congregation in Islamabad is traditionally held at Faisal Mosque, which this year saw intensified security protocols. Authorities have taken special measures to safeguard worshippers, including the deployment of additional personnel and the establishment of controlled access points to manage crowd flow effectively.

Meanwhile, the entire security operation is being closely monitored through the Safe City project’s extensive network of cameras and state-of-the-art surveillance technology. This system allows law enforcement to maintain continuous vigilance over prayer sites and surrounding public areas, helping to promptly address any potential threats or disturbances.

Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has been personally supervising all security arrangements to ensure their flawless execution. In his message to the public and police force, he extended warm Eid greetings and expressed his hope that Pakistan remains a beacon of peace, stability, and prosperity. These efforts underscore the importance placed on maintaining order and safety during one of the most significant religious festivals in the country.
