The Lahore, Multan, and Sargodha education boards revealed the outcomes of the 2026 Intermediate Part-II annual exams on Wednesday, reporting pass percentages that ranged from 64.98 to 69.19 percent.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore recorded a pass rate of 64.98 percent, with 123,060 students passing out of 189,373 candidates who sat for the exams. A total of 192,950 candidates had initially registered for the Intermediate exams, which commenced on May 20. Among regular students, the pass rate was notably higher at 71.67 percent, while private candidates achieved a 44.83 percent success rate. Female students outperformed their male counterparts, securing a 73.74 percent pass rate compared to 51.54 percent for males. The board also reported that over 66,000 candidates did not pass. Lahore Board candidates have the option to apply for result rechecking online.
Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Multan announced an overall pass rate of 67.03 percent, with 53,489 candidates passing out of 79,796 who appeared. The top scorer was Ali bin Abdullah, who earned 1,163 marks, followed closely by Fakhira Zafar with 1,162 marks. Dania Sabir, Dua Fatima, and Faizan Shaukat jointly secured the third position, each scoring 1,161 marks. The board also shared district-wise pass rates: Lodhran at 67.11 percent, Khanewal at 67.90 percent, and Vehari at 66.24 percent.
In a significant development, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sargodha reported the highest overall pass rate among the three boards at 69.19 percent. Out of 55,034 candidates who took the exams, 38,076 were successful, while 16,958 did not pass. The results were announced by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza alongside the board chairman. District-wise figures showed Sargodha with a pass rate of 72.14 percent, where 19,741 out of 27,363 candidates passed. Other districts under the Sargodha board included Bhakkar with a 64.92 percent pass rate, Khushab at 68.35 percent, and Mianwali with 65.69 percent.
