Lil Tjay’s attorney has publicly refuted claims connecting the rapper to the shooting that injured Offset outside a Florida casino. Dawn Florio, representing the 24-year-old artist, issued a statement on social media to dispel rumors regarding his role in the incident.
Florio stressed that Lil Tjay has not been charged with any crime related to the shooting nor was he harmed during the event. She stated, “This release addresses false rumors about Lil Tjay’s involvement in the shooting at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly of Migos.”
She further urged the public to rely on verified news sources before sharing unsubstantiated reports, emphasizing that any contrary information is inaccurate. This clarification followed a viral video circulating online that showed the aftermath of the shooting, which had sparked speculation about Lil Tjay’s connection to the case.
Offset, whose birth name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the scene was quickly secured, and two suspects have been detained as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting.
