Five people were killed in Multan after a speeding car hit a road divider on Bosan Road, rescue officials said on Monday. The crash caused a fire in the vehicle’s engine, officials said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and rescuers removed five bodies from the vehicles and took them to Nishtar Hospital in the historic city. The deceased belong to Shuja Abad tehsil of Multan district.
Three victims identified, two still unknown
Rescue officials identified the three dead as Muzammil, 23, Yasir, 22, and Ramazan, 28. The other two, both in their 20s and aged 25 and 24, have yet to be identified.
Bodies to be released after postmortem
Hospital sources said the bodies will be handed over to the families after postmortem examinations and other legal formalities.
