The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan’s leading state-owned energy firm, has announced a significant financial performance for the fiscal year 2025-26. The company recorded a profit after tax amounting to Rs242.37 billion, reflecting robust operational and financial health. Alongside this impressive profit, OGDCL declared a final cash dividend of Rs6 per share, contributing to a total annual dividend payout of Rs17 per share, marking the highest dividend in the company’s history.

OGDCL’s annual sales revenue reached Rs449.19 billion during the year, with earnings per share reported at Rs56.35. This strong financial showing underscores the company’s vital role in Pakistan’s energy sector and its contribution to the national economy. Notably, OGDCL contributed Rs187 billion to the national exchequer, reinforcing its position as a key revenue generator for the government. Additionally, the company saved $3.31 billion in foreign exchange through its domestic operations, highlighting its strategic importance in reducing Pakistan’s reliance on imported energy resources.

In terms of production and exploration, OGDCL made remarkable progress by discovering nine new oil and gas reserves during the year. The company’s reserve replacement ratio stood at an impressive 236 percent, indicating successful efforts to replenish and expand its resource base. Average daily production figures were equally strong, with oil output at 32,861 barrels per day, gas production at 667 million cubic feet per day (MMscfd), and LPG production reaching 670 metric tonnes.

With these achievements, OGDCL’s financial size has expanded to Rs1.44 trillion, reflecting its growing influence and capacity in the energy sector. The company’s continued exploration success and solid financial results position it well for future growth and sustained contributions to Pakistan’s energy security and economic development.
