Saudi Arabia Permits Pakistani-Origin POC Holders to Perform Hajj in 2027

In a significant development, Saudi Arabia has granted permission for Pakistani-origin holders of Pakistan Origin Cards (POC) to perform the Hajj pilgrimage under the 2027 quota. This decision opens the doors for a specific group of overseas Pakistanis to participate in one of Islam’s most important religious rites. The move reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to manage Hajj quotas while accommodating diverse Muslim communities worldwide.

The Pakistan Origin Card is issued to individuals of Pakistani descent living abroad, allowing them certain privileges in Pakistan. By allowing POC holders to perform Hajj under the official quota, Saudi authorities are recognizing the importance of facilitating religious duties for diaspora communities. This arrangement also helps streamline the allocation of Hajj permits, which are limited and highly sought after globally.

Notably, this policy could strengthen ties between Saudi Arabia and the Pakistani diaspora, promoting religious and cultural connections. It also underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to inclusivity in managing Hajj logistics amid increasing demand. For Pakistani-origin POC holders, this development offers a valuable opportunity to fulfill a spiritual obligation within an organized framework, potentially easing the pilgrimage process in 2027.
