Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Riyadh on Tuesday evening for an official visit aimed at reinforcing the strategic and bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Upon landing at King Khalid International Airport, Naqvi was warmly welcomed by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif. This high-level reception underscored the enduring and close ties between the two countries, especially in the realm of security cooperation.

During his visit, Naqvi is set to engage in comprehensive discussions with senior Saudi officials. The agenda will prioritize enhancing collaboration on internal security matters, intelligence sharing related to counter-terrorism efforts, and strengthening joint law enforcement mechanisms.

Moreover, both sides plan to explore opportunities to deepen institutional cooperation between their interior ministries, aiming to adopt a more coordinated approach to regional security challenges.

A significant focus of the visit will be developing a unified strategy to combat cross-border narcotics trafficking. Given Naqvi’s responsibility for narcotics control, the delegations will deliberate on measures to disrupt drug smuggling routes and improve surveillance at maritime and airport entry points.
