The Pakistan Army conducted special ceremonies in Karachi and Lahore on Tuesday to honour its martyrs and veterans, recognizing their sacrifices, dedication, and service to the nation.

These events were attended by senior military officers, families of the deceased soldiers, and recipients of military honours. In Karachi, a solemn ceremony highlighted the contributions of fallen soldiers and veterans, where families were presented with prestigious awards including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Basalat.

The Corps Commander Karachi, serving as the chief guest, personally met the families of the martyrs, paying tribute to their bravery and resilience. He praised the armed forces for their sacrifices in defending the country and reaffirmed the army’s ongoing commitment to support the families of those who died in the line of duty. The event was also attended by senior military officials and close relatives of the martyrs.

Meanwhile, a similar event took place at the Lahore Garrison, with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Lahore Garrison presiding as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the Pakistan Army’s global recognition for professionalism and operational excellence. He assured the families of martyrs and veterans that the institution remains dedicated to providing them with comprehensive assistance and support.

“Our martyrs and veterans are our true strength and pride. The nation can never forget their everlasting sacrifices,” the GOC stated. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the martyrs and heartfelt expressions of solidarity with their families, whose sacrifices continue to serve as a lasting inspiration for the entire nation.
