Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephonic discussion with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Tuesday, focusing on mutual interests and the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Carney commended Pakistan’s diplomatic role in promoting regional stability, particularly emphasizing Islamabad’s contribution to the recent temporary ceasefire and subsequent negotiations between the United States and Iran.
In a significant development, the Canadian leader acknowledged Pakistan’s proactive peace initiatives as crucial in reducing tensions in the Middle East. He highlighted that Pakistan’s mediation efforts were key in facilitating constructive dialogue between Washington and Tehran.
