Punjab Extends Deadline for Green Tractors Programme Payments Until March 2026

The Punjab Agriculture Department has announced an extension to the deadline for farmers who have been approved under the Chief Minister Punjab Green Tractors Programme Phase-III. These successful applicants now have until March 31, 2026, to obtain their allotment letters and fulfill the payment requirements for their tractors. This extension provides additional time for farmers to complete the necessary formalities and secure their allotments without the pressure of an immediate cutoff.

Officials from the Agriculture Department emphasized that this move aims to accommodate farmers who may have faced difficulties meeting the original deadline due to various challenges such as financial constraints or logistical issues. The department has urged all beneficiaries to promptly collect their allotment letters, which serve as official confirmation of their selection, and to submit their share of the payment within the newly extended timeframe.

It is important to note that the department has made it clear that failure to deposit the required payment by the revised deadline will result in the forfeiture of the tractor allotment. In such cases, the opportunity will be immediately transferred to farmers who are on the waiting list, ensuring that the programme’s resources are efficiently utilized and reach deserving applicants without unnecessary delays.

For those seeking additional information or assistance regarding the collection of allotment letters or payment procedures, the Agriculture Department has made support readily accessible. Farmers can visit the nearest offices of the Agriculture Extension Department in Punjab or reach out through the dedicated agricultural helpline at 0800-17000. This helpline is designed to provide guidance and resolve any queries related to the Green Tractors Programme, helping farmers navigate the process smoothly.

The Chief Minister Punjab Green Tractors Programme is part of a broader initiative aimed at empowering the agricultural community by facilitating access to modern farming equipment. By extending this deadline, the government reaffirms its commitment to supporting farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity across the province. This extension is expected to benefit a significant number of farmers who are eager to participate but required additional time to meet the programme’s financial obligations.
