In a clear demonstration of Pakistan’s unwavering support for its Gulf ally, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar engaged in a crucial telephone conversation with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. This dialogue took place against the backdrop of escalating regional tensions and recent attacks targeting Kuwait, highlighting Islamabad’s commitment to fostering peace and stability in the Middle East.

During the call, both leaders expressed profound concern over the deteriorating security situation in the region, particularly the incidents impacting Kuwait’s sovereignty and safety. Senator Ishaq Dar conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt solidarity with the Kuwaiti leadership and its people, emphasizing the importance of maintaining calm through diplomatic channels. He stressed that dialogue and de-escalation remain the most effective tools to prevent further conflict and to safeguard the interests of all nations involved.

The conversation also touched upon ongoing discussions at the United Nations Security Council, where both Pakistan and Kuwait are actively engaged in efforts to address the broader regional challenges. The two ministers reaffirmed the deep-rooted and brotherly ties that have historically bonded Pakistan and Kuwait, underscoring their mutual commitment to cooperation and regional harmony. This relationship, built over decades, continues to serve as a foundation for collaborative efforts in times of crisis.

In a related development, Senator Ishaq Dar held a separate discussion with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Tuesday. Their exchange focused on the evolving dynamics in the Middle East and the wider geopolitical landscape. Both officials shared perspectives on the critical deliberations underway at the United Nations Security Council, highlighting the necessity of sustained diplomatic engagement and coordination among regional partners.

Pakistan’s approach, as articulated by Ishaq Dar, underscores the country’s dedication to playing a constructive role in promoting peace and stability not only within the Gulf region but across the broader Middle East. The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to supporting multilateral efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and reconciliation.

These diplomatic interactions reflect Pakistan’s proactive stance in international affairs, particularly in safeguarding the interests of its allies and contributing to regional security. As tensions persist, Islamabad’s calls for peaceful resolution and cooperation resonate strongly, reinforcing its position as a responsible and engaged member of the global community.
