Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, engaged in a significant telephonic discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, focusing on the rapidly changing dynamics in the regional and global arenas. This high-level exchange highlighted the mutual concern both countries share regarding escalating tensions, particularly in the Middle East, and underscored the urgent need for peaceful resolution through diplomatic channels.

During the conversation, Ishaq Dar conveyed Pakistan’s viewpoint on the current situation, emphasizing the critical importance of de-escalation to prevent further instability. He stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective tools to address conflicts and urged all parties involved to adhere strictly to the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter. This approach reflects Pakistan’s consistent stance on promoting peace and stability not only within its immediate neighborhood but also in broader international contexts.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi acknowledged Pakistan’s proactive and constructive role in advocating for calm and stability in the region. He expressed appreciation for Islamabad’s efforts to encourage peaceful negotiations and highlighted the shared responsibility of regional and global powers to work collaboratively towards reducing tensions. The Chinese diplomat reiterated China’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster dialogue and prevent conflict escalation.

Both leaders reaffirmed the enduring strength and resilience of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, a cornerstone of their bilateral relations. They agreed that this partnership continues to be pivotal in addressing regional challenges and enhancing cooperation across various sectors. Furthermore, they committed to maintaining close communication channels to coordinate their responses to evolving geopolitical developments effectively.

This dialogue between Pakistan and China comes at a time when the international community is closely monitoring the volatile situation in the Middle East, which has implications for global peace and security. The emphasis on diplomacy and adherence to international law reflects a shared vision to mitigate conflict and promote sustainable peace. As two influential players in the region, Pakistan and China’s collaborative approach signals their dedication to fostering a stable environment conducive to economic growth and regional harmony.
