Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar extended his warm congratulations to the people and leadership of Nepal on the successful completion of their recent general elections. This milestone marks a significant moment in Nepal’s democratic journey, and Pakistan has expressed its sincere appreciation for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the electoral process.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Ishaq Dar highlighted the deep-rooted and fraternal relationship that Pakistan shares with Nepal. He underscored the importance of these longstanding ties, which have been nurtured over decades through mutual respect, cultural exchange, and cooperation on various fronts. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan values this bond and remains committed to further strengthening it in the years to come.

Looking ahead, Ishaq Dar expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely with his Nepalese counterpart and the newly formed government. He conveyed his optimism that both countries would work together to enhance their bilateral relations by exploring new areas of cooperation. This includes expanding economic partnerships, fostering people-to-people contacts, and increasing collaboration in sectors such as trade, tourism, and education.

Moreover, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the broader regional implications of a strong Pakistan-Nepal partnership. He pointed out that enhancing bilateral cooperation is not only beneficial for the two nations but also plays a crucial role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity across South Asia. By working in unison, Pakistan and Nepal can contribute positively to regional integration and collective progress.

It is worth noting that Pakistan and Nepal have historically maintained cordial diplomatic relations, with both countries often supporting each other in various international forums. This latest development following Nepal’s elections signals a renewed commitment to deepen their friendship and collaborate on shared goals. As Nepal embarks on a new chapter under its elected leadership, Pakistan stands ready to support and engage constructively for mutual benefit.
