Prior to this posting, he was awaiting assignment within the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) of Punjab, a testament to his versatile capabilities within the provincial bureaucracy.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Azeem has held several high-profile administrative positions that have shaped his expertise in managing complex government functions. Notably, he served as the Information Secretary of Punjab and as Director General of Public Relations (DGPR), where he played a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the government’s public image. In addition to these roles, Dr Azeem has been entrusted with key responsibilities in various departments, including serving as Special Secretary in the Health Department and as Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTA).
