Islamabad is bracing for more unsettled weather as a new alert has been issued following continuous rainfall experienced throughout Thursday. Meteorological authorities have forecasted that the region will witness further rain accompanied by thunder and lightning within the next 12 to 24 hours. This development signals ongoing atmospheric instability affecting the federal capital and surrounding areas.

In addition to Islamabad, several districts in Punjab are expected to receive significant rainfall. These include Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, and Mandi Bahauddin, where wet conditions are likely to persist. The alert highlights the possibility of thunderstorms, which may lead to localized disruptions and require residents to take necessary precautions.

Meanwhile, scattered showers are also anticipated in other parts of Punjab such as Dera Ghazi Khan, Kasur, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan. These areas may experience intermittent rainfall, contributing to the overall wet spell across the province. The widespread nature of the precipitation underscores the influence of prevailing weather patterns affecting much of northern and central Pakistan.

In a significant development, the ongoing rain and thunderstorm activity could impact daily life, including travel and outdoor activities, prompting authorities to monitor the situation closely. Residents in the affected regions are advised to stay updated with weather reports and exercise caution during this period of adverse weather conditions.
