At least four individuals lost their lives and nine others sustained injuries in two distinct road accidents that occurred in the Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Rescue teams responded promptly to both incidents, providing emergency assistance to the victims.
In the first accident, which took place in the Mandah area of Lower Dir, a collision involving two motorcycles and a car resulted in the deaths of two young men. Additionally, two other individuals were injured and immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical care. The circumstances leading to the collision are currently being examined by local authorities.
Meanwhile, in Upper Dir’s Qila Ganori area, a separate tragic event unfolded when a Datsun vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine. This accident claimed the lives of two people, including a woman, while seven others were injured. The injured were swiftly taken to local hospitals for treatment, with rescue officials working to stabilize their conditions.
Authorities have launched investigations into both accidents to determine the causes and any contributing factors. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety in the region, prompting calls for increased caution and improved traffic management to prevent future tragedies.
