K-Electric Warns Against Tying Sacrificial Animals to Power Poles

K-Electric has issued a cautionary advisory urging residents to avoid tying sacrificial animals to power poles. This warning comes ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, when the practice of animal sacrifice is widespread. The utility company highlights that such actions pose serious safety risks, including electrocution and power outages. They emphasize the importance of public cooperation to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the festive period.

Power poles and electrical infrastructure are not designed to support animals, and improper use can lead to damage or accidents. K-Electric’s alert is part of broader efforts to maintain electrical safety and prevent avoidable hazards in urban areas. The company also encourages people to use designated spaces for animal sacrifice to minimize risks to both humans and animals.

In a significant development for community safety, K-Electric’s advisory reflects growing concerns about electrical accidents linked to festive practices. By discouraging the tying of animals to power poles, the utility aims to protect lives and infrastructure. This initiative underscores the need for public awareness and responsible behavior during religious celebrations to avoid emergencies and service interruptions.
