A bus conductor has been apprehended in Raiwind after being accused of assaulting a young girl while she was traveling on public transport. The suspect, Sajjad Ali, was taken into custody by Chohang police following reports of the incident on a Speedo bus.
The assault reportedly occurred near the Chohang Jayabga stop on Raiwind Road, Lahore, on Speedo bus number LHREV 008. The case gained widespread attention after video footage of the alleged assault surfaced online, showing the event near the LDA stop.
In a significant development, senior police officials responded promptly to the viral video, directing immediate action. Utilizing advanced technology, investigators successfully traced and arrested Sajjad Ali, who now faces legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Transport Company condemned the assault strongly, emphasizing that any acts of violence or harassment against women and children will be met with zero tolerance and strict legal consequences. The case has been formally registered and handed over to the investigation wing for further inquiry.
