The Met Office has predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Karachi and various parts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday, April 6 and 7. This weather pattern is driven by an incoming weather system that may also trigger windstorms in the city.

Currently, Karachi is experiencing partly cloudy skies with the sea breeze temporarily halted. A westerly wave is expected to enter Baluchistan from Iran late Sunday night, influencing weather conditions across Sindh and bringing rainfall to the region over the next two days.

In addition to Karachi, light to moderate rain is anticipated in several districts including Jamshoro, Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal.

Meanwhile, another western disturbance is forecasted to approach western Baluchistan on the evening of April 5 and is expected to persist in the northern areas until April 9. This system will bring rain and thunderstorms, with isolated heavy showers and hailstorms, to districts such as Chagai, Dalbandin, Kharan, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Mastung, Sibbi, Kohlu, Naseerabad, and Loralai from the night of April 5 through April 7, with intermittent breaks.

On April 6, rainfall and thunderstorms are also expected in Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran districts, as well as along the Makran Coast including Gwadar, Pasni, Ormara, and Lasbella.
