Robert Pattinson Comments on Spider-Man vs Batman Debate with Zendaya

Robert Pattinson addressed the enduring Spider-Man versus Batman debate during an appearance on The Tonight Show alongside Zendaya, as they promoted their upcoming film, The Drama.

When questioned about who would triumph in a hypothetical battle between the two iconic superheroes, Pattinson, who portrays Batman, responded cautiously. He remarked that he was “legally not allowed to say Spider-Man,” before expressing his admiration for Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man and is Zendaya’s longtime partner.

This exchange gained attention due to the unique crossover context. Pattinson’s role as Batman connects him to the DC universe, while Zendaya is closely linked to Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise through both her on-screen character and her relationship with Holland.

Such dynamics brought fresh interest to a debate that frequently resurfaces among fan communities. Although Pattinson’s comment was lighthearted, it underscored the ongoing cultural significance of both franchises. Comparisons between Marvel and DC characters remain a popular topic, especially when actors from each universe appear together.

Notably, Pattinson avoided naming a definitive winner but acknowledged the question and its wider implications. This appearance is part of the promotional activities for The Drama, which is scheduled for release on April 3.

Both actors continue to enjoy high visibility through major projects, with Pattinson linked to The Batman franchise and Zendaya starring in Spider-Man, Euphoria, and Dune.
