The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has said it will temporarily halt gas supply to several parts of Islamabad because of a hookup on a major route.
According to the company, the interruption will begin at 9:00 PM on 19 October 2026 and continue until 6 AM on 20 October.
Areas affected
The listed areas include Sector G-7 Blue Area, the east service road from Ghouri Town to Faizabad Bypass Road, Lahtrar Road between Khanna Pul and Burma Town, Sohan, Gulberg Town, Shakrial, Garden Town and nearby localities.
Residents have been advised to arrange alternative sources of gas during the shutdown and to take precautions to limit any disruption to their households.
SNGPL has asked consumers in the affected areas to cooperate while the scheduled maintenance is carried out.
