The federal government has once again raised the prices of petrol and High Speed Diesel (HSD), marking the sixth consecutive increase in fuel rates. This latest adjustment comes through an official notification that outlines the new pricing structure for petroleum products across the country.

Specifically, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs4.42 per litre, bringing the new retail price to Rs380.24 per litre. Meanwhile, High Speed Diesel has seen a sharper rise of Rs6.10 per litre, with the updated price now set at Rs409.42 per litre. These changes reflect ongoing adjustments in response to global oil market fluctuations and domestic economic considerations.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued an updated notification approving the revised prices, which the government has implemented with immediate effect. The new rates will be applicable starting tonight and will remain in force until further notice, as stated in the official communication.

Notably, this marks the sixth consecutive time that petrol and diesel prices have been increased, placing additional financial pressure on consumers who are already grappling with rising living costs.
