In a tragic incident that unfolded last night in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, a gas cylinder explosion in a residential building resulted in the deaths of six Pakistani nationals. The explosion occurred in the Manfouha neighborhood, causing significant damage to part of the structure and leaving the community in shock.

All six victims have been identified as residents of Mansehra district in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. This heartbreaking event has deeply affected the Pakistani expatriate community living in Saudi Arabia, prompting an outpouring of condolences and support for the families of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani embassy in Riyadh has confirmed that it is actively coordinating with Saudi authorities to facilitate the repatriation of the bodies and to manage all necessary legal procedures. The embassy has assured that it will provide full diplomatic assistance to the families impacted by this unfortunate event.

In a significant development, Saudi officials have launched a formal investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the gas cylinder explosion. This inquiry aims to prevent similar incidents in the future and to ensure the safety of residents in the area. The incident has highlighted concerns about safety standards in residential buildings and the handling of gas cylinders in the region.
