Kuwait has significantly intensified its internal security efforts in response to escalating regional tensions. The Ministry of Interior has mobilized approximately 600 patrol units across all six governorates within a 24-hour period. This strategic deployment aims to accelerate incident response times and reinforce security presence on key roads and major intersections throughout the country.

In a notable development, the General Directorate of Emergency Police disclosed that between February 28 and April 5, 2026, it managed close to 1,970 reports related to various security concerns. A substantial portion of these reports—1,141 in total—were related to drone activity, highlighting the growing threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles in the region. Following these were 388 reports concerning the sounds of explosions, which have raised alarm among authorities and residents alike.

Further data presented on the television program “Good Morning Kuwait” revealed that emergency police also responded to 375 reports involving suspicious foreign objects and investigated multiple locations where shrapnel had been found. Additionally, 66 reports involved sightings of suspicious individuals near sensitive sites, prompting heightened vigilance and security checks.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s central operations room hotline, reachable at No. 112, received an impressive 6,571 calls during the same timeframe. To bolster protection of critical infrastructure, authorities established 1,664 field posts and carried out 117 service orders aimed at securing vital locations. These comprehensive measures underscore Kuwait’s commitment to safeguarding its territory amid a complex and volatile regional security landscape.
