The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a new no-objection certificate policy that governs how players may take part in privately run cricket competitions, and it sets high participation fees for some tournaments.
According to sources, the board will not grant NOCs to national players for the Afghanistan Premier League, a decision made amid ongoing political tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. No applications from players seeking permission for that league have reached the board so far.
ILT20 and Abu Dhabi T10 fees set
Conditional clearance is available for the International League T20 (ILT20) and the Abu Dhabi T10 league. Players wanting to feature in the ILT20 must pay $25,000 each, while the Abu Dhabi T10 fee is $10,000. The PCB will not issue an NOC to any player until the required fee has been paid.
Similar rules followed by other boards
PCB officials said other international cricket boards also apply comparable NOC policies to private leagues.
