Arsenal Make Bold Lineup Choices Ahead of Champions League Final vs PSG

Arsenal have made several striking lineup decisions for Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Munich. Notably, defender Jurrien Timber, who recently recovered from a groin injury sustained in March, was left out of the starting eleven.

Instead, Cristhian Mosquera was selected to start at right back, while 19-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly was preferred in midfield over Martin Zubimendi. In a significant tactical move, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta chose Kai Havertz to spearhead the attack as the lone striker, opting for the German international ahead of Viktor Gyokeres for this crucial encounter.

Havertz brings valuable experience on Europe’s biggest stage, having scored the decisive goal in Chelsea’s 1-0 triumph over Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League final. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique named what is widely regarded as his strongest starting lineup.

The French champions were bolstered by the return of key players Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembele, both fully fit after recent injury setbacks. Hakimi took his place at left back, while Dembele featured in the attacking unit as PSG aimed to clinch their maiden Champions League trophy.

With both teams fielding formidable lineups, the final is set to be a fiercely competitive contest between two sides eager to claim European football’s most prestigious prize.
