Reports have emerged that Jemima Goldsmith has married Cameron O’Reilly, a multimillionaire businessman who has largely maintained a private personal life. The union was publicly acknowledged by Goldsmith’s family, with her sister-in-law Jemima Jones posting a photo from the wedding celebrations on Instagram, describing it as a joyous occasion.
O’Reilly’s relationship with Goldsmith has recently brought him into the public eye. Jemima, aged 52, was previously married to Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The couple share two sons, Sulaiman Khan and Kasim Khan.
O’Reilly is an Irish-Australian businessman and investor, and the son of the late Sir Anthony O’Reilly, a notable Irish media magnate and former international rugby player. Born in Dublin in 1964, he hails from a prominent business family. His father was influential in Ireland’s media sector, while his mother was Australian, granting him dual citizenship.
He started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs before transitioning into the media industry. O’Reilly later served as chief executive of APN News & Media, one of Australia’s leading newspaper groups, before focusing on private equity and infrastructure investments.
In 2003, he established Bayard Capital, an investment firm specializing in energy and water technologies. Through Bayard Capital, he acquired and expanded Landis+Gyr, a global smart-metering company, which was sold to Toshiba for approximately $2.3 billion in 2011.
O’Reilly is a father of four children. It is believed he met Jemima Goldsmith while working as an executive producer on a documentary project. Friends of the couple say they split their time between Switzerland and their residence in west London, where they reportedly enjoy a happy life together.
