The Cabinet Division has published the Toshakhana inventory for the first quarter of 2026, covering January to March, revealing that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif were among the prominent recipients of valuable gifts during this period.
All individuals listed complied with regulations by depositing their gifts in the Toshakhana as required. The report highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the highest number of gifts, totaling 27 items. These included luxury timepieces such as a Patek Philippe watch and three Rolex watches, along with gold models and several sets of jewelry.
In a notable development, President Asif Ali Zardari was recorded as having received 10 valuable gifts. These comprised a Vacheron Constantin watch, ceremonial swords, a chess set, and a wool overcoat, among other items.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was also listed, having received eight gifts, including a Rolex watch. Meanwhile, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari was presented with a jewelry set and traditional clothing, and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari received a valuable necklace.
Other officials named in the record as recipients of gifts during this timeframe included Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, and Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Additionally, former National Accountability Bureau chairman Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmad Butt appeared on the list of gift recipients, underscoring the range of officials involved.
