Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, who currently serves as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CDF), made a significant visit to the Kurram region to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr alongside the troops and officers stationed there. This visit highlighted the leadership’s close engagement with frontline personnel during one of the most important religious festivals, underscoring the solidarity between the military command and the soldiers guarding Pakistan’s borders.

During his time in Kurram, the Field Marshal led the Eid prayers, a gesture that not only reinforced the spiritual bond but also allowed him to offer heartfelt prayers for the continued stability, peace, and prosperity of Pakistan. His presence at the Eid congregation was warmly welcomed by the troops, who viewed it as a morale booster and a testament to the leadership’s appreciation of their sacrifices and hard work.

In his interactions with the officers and soldiers, the Field Marshal extended his warmest Eid greetings and took the opportunity to commend their unwavering dedication, exceptional professionalism, and high morale. He praised the troops for their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, especially in challenging and volatile environments like the border regions. His words reflected a deep respect for the courage and resilience displayed by the men and women in uniform.

Highlighting recent military achievements, the Field Marshal specifically acknowledged the success of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, a critical campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist networks operating in the border areas. He lauded the valour and fighting spirit of the troops involved in this operation, emphasizing that such efforts are vital to ensuring lasting peace and security in these sensitive zones. The operation’s achievements were presented as a clear message that Pakistan’s armed forces remain vigilant and resolute in their mission to eliminate threats emanating from across the border.

The Field Marshal also addressed the ongoing security challenges posed by militants using sanctuaries in Afghanistan. He made it clear that Pakistan will not tolerate any hostile activities originating from Afghan soil that threaten its national security. This stance reaffirms Pakistan’s firm commitment to regional peace and stability, while also calling on all stakeholders to prevent the use of Afghan territory for anti-Pakistan operations. His remarks underscored the importance of cooperation and vigilance in maintaining peace along the porous border.

Furthermore, the Field Marshal paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the nation’s martyrs, whose supreme dedication has been instrumental in the operational successes achieved so far. He credited the collective resolve and professionalism of the officers and soldiers for their ability to confront and overcome security challenges. His speech reflected a deep appreciation for the human cost of maintaining peace and the ongoing efforts of the armed forces to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Expressing immense pride in the troops’ steadfastness and courage, the Field Marshal reiterated the Pakistan Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to defending the country against all threats. His visit served as a powerful reminder of the leadership’s support for the men on the front lines and their crucial role in securing the nation’s future.

Upon his arrival in Kurram, Field Marshal Asim Munir was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander Peshawar, marking the beginning of a visit that combined religious observance with strategic military engagement. This visit not only boosted troop morale but also sent a strong message of unity and resolve from the highest levels of military leadership during a significant national festival.
