On Saturday, the highest-ranking officers of Pakistan’s military conveyed their warmest Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the entire nation and the global Muslim community. Their message emphasized the core values of unity, compassion, and selfless service that are deeply woven into the fabric of this significant religious festival. This annual occasion not only marks the end of Ramadan but also serves as a reminder of the collective spirit that binds the people of Pakistan together.

The joint statement was issued by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff. Representing the Armed Forces of Pakistan, they extended their heartfelt wishes to every citizen, recognizing Eid as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the nation’s well-being. Their words resonated with a call for solidarity and mutual respect among all Pakistanis during this festive period.

Highlighting the essence of Eid, the military leadership pointed out that the festival embodies enduring principles such as unity, compassion, and thankfulness. These values are not only celebrated in homes and communities but are also deeply ingrained in the ethos of the Pakistan Armed Forces. For the men and women in uniform, Eid carries a profound meaning beyond festivities—it represents the honour and responsibility of standing guard over the country’s sovereignty, often far from their loved ones.

The message paid special tribute to the courage, dedication, and sacrifices made daily by the brave soldiers, sailors, and airmen who protect Pakistan’s borders and maintain internal security. The leadership also acknowledged the vital role played by the families of these servicemen and women, whose unwavering support and resilience enable the armed forces to perform their duties with commitment and resolve. This recognition underscores the collective effort behind the nation’s defense and the shared spirit of sacrifice.

Concluding their message, the military chiefs expressed their sincere hopes that this Eid-ul-Fitr would usher in an era of peace, prosperity, and blessings not only for Pakistan but for the entire Muslim Ummah worldwide. Their wishes reflected a vision of harmony and progress, encouraging all citizens to embrace the festival’s message of goodwill and unity as the country continues to navigate its challenges and opportunities.
