Karachi Police Introduce Dedicated Helpline to Report Illegal Foreign Nationals

In a significant move to address concerns regarding undocumented foreigners residing in Karachi, the city police have inaugurated a centralized complaint cell. This new facility is designed to streamline the process for local residents to report any illegal foreign nationals living within the metropolis, ensuring that authorities can respond promptly and effectively.

The complaint cell has been established at the Karachi Police Office and is equipped to handle reports through multiple communication channels, including dedicated phone lines and WhatsApp. By providing these accessible platforms, the police aim to encourage citizens to actively participate in monitoring and reporting suspicious cases, thereby enhancing community safety and law enforcement efficiency.

Officials emphasized that the system is particularly focused on identifying undocumented foreigners, with a special mention of Afghan nationals, who are believed to be residing illegally in various parts of the city. Once a complaint is lodged, the police undertake a thorough verification process before forwarding the case to the appropriate government departments for further investigation and necessary legal action.

Residents can send their complaints via WhatsApp at the number 03435142770, a step that reflects the police’s commitment to leveraging modern communication tools for public service. The authorities have called upon the citizens of Karachi to cooperate fully by sharing accurate and timely information, which will assist in maintaining law and order and ensuring that immigration laws are upheld.

Moreover, the establishment of this centralized complaint cell is part of a broader strategy to maintain detailed records of all reports received, facilitating better tracking and quicker response times. This initiative underscores the Karachi Police’s proactive approach to tackling the challenges posed by illegal immigration and its impact on the city’s security and social fabric.

By creating this dedicated helpline, Karachi Police not only aim to curb the presence of unauthorized foreigners but also to foster a stronger partnership between law enforcement and the community. This collaborative effort is expected to contribute significantly to the overall safety and stability of Karachi, one of Pakistan’s largest and most diverse urban centers.
