The visit was arranged as a heartfelt gesture of solidarity following the tragic martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a figure revered by many across the Muslim world.

Upon arriving at the embassy, Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed his profound grief and extended his condolences over the loss of the Supreme Leader. He personally signed the condolence book, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” His words reflected not only personal sorrow but also the collective mourning felt by many Pakistanis who hold Ayatollah Khamenei in high esteem.
