From Monday through September 17, several regions across Pakistan are set to experience increased rainfall and hailstorms, as forecasted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Thunderstorms are anticipated in Islamabad, accompanied by rain in various parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.

Islamabad is likely to see additional rainfall with thunderstorms, while Rawalpindi, Murree, the Galiyat region, and multiple districts in Punjab are also expected to receive precipitation. Between Tuesday and September 17, cities such as Lahore, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Kasur, Okara, and Nankana Sahib are forecasted to have rain showers.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, areas including Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Dir, Malakand, and Mardan are predicted to experience rainfall during this period. Intermittent showers are also expected in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. Meanwhile, several urban centers in Sindh, such as Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana, may witness rain.

Balochistan is not exempt, with districts like Zhob, Barkhan, and Musa Khel forecasted to receive rain. The Met Office has issued warnings about the heightened risk of landslides in mountainous regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat, and Kashmir due to the ongoing and expected rainfall.

Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable mountainous zones to stay vigilant, as continued precipitation could exacerbate the threat of landslides, posing significant safety concerns.
