Savannah Guthrie, the American broadcast journalist, has revealed the profound pain her family is enduring following the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing since February 1. In a preview of an upcoming interview scheduled for March 26-27, Savannah vowed to openly express the anguish she feels, emphasizing her urgent plea: “She needs to come home now.”

During the preview clip, the 54-year-old journalist appeared visibly emotional while sitting down with her former colleague Hoda Kotb. She described the family’s ordeal as “unbearable agony,” reflecting on the terror her mother might have faced. Savannah shared, “I wake up every night in the middle of the night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror. It is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought.”

Her colleagues from the Today show, including Hoda Kotb, Carson Daly, and Craig Melvin, praised Savannah’s strength for participating in the interview despite the overwhelming distress her family is experiencing. The interview panel acknowledged the difficult period she is navigating, alongside her siblings Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie, as they continue their search in Tucson, Arizona.

In the preview, Savannah expressed her determination to show the world that she remains resilient. “I still have hope, and I’m still me,” she said, adding uncertainty about how this experience might change her but affirming she will endure. The family issued a statement on March 22 expressing deep gratitude for the support from neighbors, friends, and the Tucson community, stating, “We are all a family now. We miss our mom with every breath, and we cannot be at peace until she is home.”

Earlier, Nancy’s disappearance was reported to the Today show and local police after her children searched for her for an hour without success. Police later confirmed her missing status. Despite the distress, Savannah remains steadfast in her faith, declaring, “I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe.”
