Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday that Gauth AI will provide 4,000 free subscriptions to Pakistan. Of these, 1,000 will go to teachers at the newly opened Daanish School on Kuri Road in Islamabad. The announcement came as the government moves to bring artificial intelligence and modern technology into the education system.
Speaking at a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and Gauth AI, Sharif thanked Gauth AI, ByteDance and TikTok for their cooperation. He said the partnership would open new doors for students, teachers and young people nationwide, calling it an important step toward modernising education. He added that the government would supply the resources needed to give young people modern technological skills. “Of course, Gauth,” he said, adding that the tool would “unlock infinite opportunities” for learners across the country.
What the Gauth AI study platform does
Gauth is described as an AI-powered study companion that helps students solve academic problems and understand concepts through step-by-step explanations. Learners can type a question or upload a photo of a problem, with the platform focused on mathematics and science subjects such as physics and chemistry. Its other tools include AI tutoring, practice questions and revision support.
The platform is designed to show students how a problem is solved rather than simply supplying the answer. The source notes, however, that AI-generated explanations can contain errors, and students should check them against textbooks and their teachers’ guidance.

Daanish School teachers to receive 1,000 subscriptions
Sharif said 1,000 of the 4,000 subscriptions would be allocated to teachers at Daanish School Islamabad. He expressed confidence that the partnership would help improve learning outcomes. Referring to a recent visit to the school, he praised its principal and teachers for their dedication and said he expected students to do well in their examinations.
The prime minister said the government had provided the school with facilities, including laboratories and other resources, and assured students there would be no shortage of support for their studies. He also pointed to boarding and lodging, food and free uniforms, saying the government wanted to empower students through quality education.
Government sets out wider technology and construction goals
Sharif said aligning the education system with modern requirements and artificial intelligence was essential. He argued that young people need access to advanced information technology and digital skills to prepare for the future. He said the government would keep working with the provinces to raise educational standards and expand cooperation with international IT companies.
He also stressed the importance of construction standards at Daanish Schools, saying particular attention would be paid to the quality of ongoing building work. Sharif expressed hope that the Gauth AI partnership would develop into a long-term relationship and lead to further modern techniques and technologies in the education sector. He described the initiative as part of the government’s Digital Pakistan vision.
